BLACK CRIMINAL TYPECAST PSYCHOLOGY IN BLACK CINEMA

This documentary explores how Black men have been historically typecast in criminal roles in film, examining the powerful role cinema plays in shaping public perception. By tracing the long and complex relationship between Black male actors, producers, and the film industry’s institutional biases, the film reveals how on-screen narratives often mirror—and reinforce—real-world power structures within Hollywood and wider Western cinema.
